Jean Paul Faure

Jean Paul Faure

Ever since he was a child, Jean-Paul has had a passion for reading comic strips, detective novels and literature. His very first educational and scientific works were published by the CNED, Editions Bréal and companies such as Bull and France Telecom. He now devotes part of his time to writing short stories, narratives, documentaries and educational works (French as a Foreign Language). Some of his publications have been translated into English and Spanish.

At Cimade, where he teaches French, Jean-Paul Faure defends the rights of migrants as they struggle to rebuild their lives. He is also active in media libraries and book events, as well as internationally in the form of reading and creative writing workshops.

A former student at the École Normale Supérieure de l'Enseignement Technique de Cachan, he also holds the Palmes académiques, an agrégation in Economics and Management, a DEA in Communication Sciences from CELSA and certification to teach management in English. He was successively head of department at the IUT in Montpellier, head of continuing education at CREUFOP, and then director and delegate general of the Alliances françaises in Sri Lanka. Originally from a small village in the Corrèze, Marcillac-la-Croisille, Jean-Paul currently lives in Occitanie, in the Hérault region, where he has practised since 1985.
