Kavita Karmakar is a published translator and author from Assam, India. Her work has been published across India in Bangoli, Hindi, Malayalam, Gujarati, English and Assamese. Besides over 25 titles under her name published by the National Book Trust, Sahitya Academy, and commercial publishers, she has been translated into Spanish and Serbian. Kavita regularly contributes to national and local newspapers by writing about tourism, culture, and art while pursuing an ambitious career in the film industry as an assistant director.
