Lahiru Kodituwakku, a published writer, a medical doctor by profession and a public health practitioner, has been actively involved in disaster preparedness and humanitarian response activities for over a decade in Sri Lanka. He also has extensive field level experience in working with Community Based Organizations, Religious and Youth groups, Community networks and Civil society activists on community mobilization and empowerment. His capacity to collaborate and engage with wide array of civil society organizations in the areas of disaster management and resilience, public health, and climate action, both local and global is a testimony for his commitment towards addressing the needs of the most vulnerable. He has professional experience in working for Ministry of Health Sri Lanka and United Nations, Sri Lanka. He is a founding member of the Resilience Research, Training and Consulting, and holds the position of Assistant Secretary of Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA) and Editor of the Association Disaster Risk Management Professionals (ADRiMP), Sri Lanka.
