Sonja Manojlović was born March 15, 1948 in Zagreb, Croatia. She earned her degree in philosophy and comparative literature from Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. Her poems were included in various anthologies and translated into many languages. She has received several awards for her poetry in Croatia, Greece – Larissa, India – Calcutta, Japan – Osaka, Russia – Tver etc. She has published 24 collections of poems (17 original and 7 books of selected poems, including two translated into Polish and Romanian). She also published one book of short prose.
